How to find articles you’ve e-mailed from Google Reader

June 22, 2010

I’m constantly reading articles in Google Reader – sometimes on my iPhone, sometimes on my laptop.  When I find an article I think someone else would like, I often use the “Email” link built into Reader at the bottom of the article.  This sends directly from Google’s system, so it does not end up in the “Sent Items” of your e-mail system.

Recently, someone asked me if I could find an article I sent them months ago.  There is no obvious way in Reader to do this, but I found this neat shortcut:

If you don’t see anything right away, make sure you choose the “All items” link at the top – “New items” appears to be the default.
